The Work is Only Half the Work
Whatever useful you do, must be fitted into a context – and often, it needs to be done through several steps, building on top of each other or with each step applying a bit of extra in an iterative way.
To ensure a good level of quality, and to ensure that everything really will get done, nothing being left behind without anyone noticing, we have various work processes to our assistance.
Immediately recognized is the project management, consisting of a lot of ad-hoc evaluation and action upon what is happening, but also following some carefully planned steps, thereby ensuring that all the needed parties will get notified or taken into discussion about new decisions, or whatever each of them needs.
DevOps, MLOps, and several other specialized frameworks for development processes contribute to getting everything done in the right order and in a shape that makes it ready for the next activity.
Analysis lifecycle, report lifecycle, test, maintenance, and not to forget, what often starts it all: the business analysis. All needs to be done following some sort of order.
Modern business life is full of processes, sometimes formalized in procedures, methods, or frameworks, at other times just a learned pattern of how to do things right. Sometimes supported by tools, at other times expected from each participant to become part of their mindset.
These pages are for the processes that have a specific definition, while the mindset parts have been described in another set of pages.
No pages found yet – they are coming soon.
